The Waterwise Garden or ACTEWAGL Discovery Garden as it is known is a detailed landscape construction project showcasing water saving techniques for gardeners. A particularly high expectation of quality was placed on this project by the architects and client in the beginning of the project.. There are curved and sloped steel planters built to a significantly high quality which are only on of the features of this garden. The gabion wall specification was changed by ourselves to a stone we thought more suitable to a project requiring this standard and the end result of the wall meant the architects changed their specification to match our walls for all future works at the Arboretum where gabion walls were required. The water feature at the west end of the garden which is a highly complex unit involving thermo cooled water and 4 stages of filtration to make the water as clean as possible in a difficult environment.
